We are very happy and proud that NIHES first Women’s Health course was festively opened by Dutch singer and comedian Karin Bloemen on 28 January 2013.

Karin Bloemen fully supports our initiative for improving women’s health and wellbeing. She surprised us with a special program for our Women’s Health course.

The department of Epidemiology, in collaboration with the department of Internal Medicine at Erasmus University medical Center, offers medical and health professionals a comprehensive course in Women’s Health.

This course brings together experts in women’s health from a multitude of disciplines and provides participants with resources that will assist them in broadening and strengthening clinical care and research programs that are aimed at improving women’s health and well-being. The course will focus on the critical issues that affect women’s health through the life cycle.

EUROPOSGRADOS aims to promote European Higher Education in Colombia. It is the most important higher education fair in Colombia and the only one to focus on a wide range of postgraduate courses. NIHES will inform the fair visitors on its research training programmes and courses in medicine and the health sciences.

Science without Borders Holland call – undergraduates

Join NIHES-Erasmus MC’s one year research-training programme in the health sciences for Science without Borders undergraduates!

This special programme focuses on study design, biostatistics, and clinical epidemiology. It also addresses the principles of research in medicine and epidemiology; clinical decision analysis; methods of public health research; markers and prognostic research; the practice of epidemiologic analysis, and health economics.

The programme is open to Science without Borders scholars in the last years of their undergraduate studies. It starts on August 6, 2013, and lasts 12 months. NIHES-Erasmus MC offers you a once in a lifetime study opportunity, combined with a hands-on research experience!

To further academic cooperation in the field of medicine and the health sciences, the Netherlands Institute for Health Sciences of Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam (NIHES-Erasmus MC) and Universidad Autónoma de Bucaramanga (UNAB) have signed an International Academic Agreement. NIHES and UNAB intend to exchange undergraduate and post-graduate students, academic staff and researchers, and collaborate in research areas of mutual interest.
